Police sit and wait for speeders at the cemetery or school as the zone abruptly changes from 55 MPH to 35MPH, not coincidentally the area where they sit is not 50 feet AFTER the speed limit sign, ensuring you will get nailed because you don’t have enough time to slow down. Most likely, you can get the fine reduced to a parking ticket by the court, but you will still end up paying a hefty fine of $150 (ouch). If you are still going 55MPH though, forget it. you will get AT LEAST 2 points on your license and pay upwards of $300 (for a first offense)!!!!
