It's only my opinion, but the OSP do not set up speed traps. I think people are confused about what a speed trap is. The OSP do not hide their cruisers. When you can see them from as much as 3/4 mile away, I dont consider it a trap. A deterent maybe. The locals, on the other hand, that hide their cruisers behind billboards, trees, in driveways, etc would be more a trap. When you dont see the cop till too late, ok. If you see a state trooper from almost a mile away, you have plenty of time to slow down to posted speed. If you dont, you deserve your ticket. The state troopers in other states hide (i.e., Pennsylvania). Don't know if you agree, but see my point?
