For the second time recently I saw a motorcycle officer with a radar or laser gun pointed at southbound traffic on S. George Mason Dr. between 8th Street South and Columbia Pike (VA 244). Both times were in the middle of the day, around lunchtime. The officers were in the first driveway into the shopping center, on the right-hand side as you drive south. George Mason Drive slopes downhill in this area and it is easy to get moving well above the posted limit of 30. The police were wearing black and yellow clothing that blended in with the fall foliage on the trees next to the mall entrance. Beware.
