Sand hill /44/55 at corner before stop sign , little rd near bank
Cop hides at the corner behind the stop sign, he can not be seen from rt 44/55 coming from either direction ,coming from newpaltz there is a hill, by the time you can see him, he has already seen you and coming from the town of Gardiner there is a turn and he can not be seen at all until you are passing him. this speed trap is near the new little shopping center where the new bank has been built.

This comment is very true! The Town Hall of Gardiner NY will arbitrarily charge additional fees to your speeding ticket excusing them as mandatory state surcharges. I love the area especially New Paltz, but don't drive on 44/55 through the town of Gardiner whereby it is a speed trap with very unprofessional State Police that lurk to give out tickets! The troopers aren't from this area and don't care, once the the court had 60 people in it for traffic violations at once! Absolutely ridiculous! Too bad, beautiful area.
