Sandy Pond Road near Old Sandy Pond Road
They wait by a Gun club entrance with one cruiser and have another pull you over. The court house is right down the street (In Ayer)so they will show up for trials. When I was there a good 50% of the people appealing were there for ticket received on Sandy Pond Road in Ayer and the Ayer police officers were lined up to testify. Other people who were ticketed in other towns we’re getting off due to the officers not showing up. Total revenue generator

Yes occasionally there is an officer by Sandy Pond due to it is a beach area and is stricked on the speed limit there. The officers are in plain view so you cannot miss them. If you go slow the speed limit 30 mph you should have no worries. Only one officer is there not two. Another would show up if it is necessary for safetly issues. When I first moved to Ayer I was pulled over getting my son to school. This was my error and I did see the cruiser but like everyone else did not pay attention to the speedometer and the beach was off season. My mistake off season or not many road in that little sections that the drivers cannot see coming as clearly as they like. So speed is important. Would be nice to know in what month the gentleman got the ticket. There is a crosswalk right at the entrance to the beach and the Ayer gun club. Yes a cruiser does sit at this location once in awhile.
