S/B St. College at Mendocino (S. of Bastenchury downhill)

Motorcycle cop sits at the intersection of St. College and Mendocino St. (sits right in the mouth of Mendicino), you can’t see him until it’s too late because of the curve in the road. Uses laser to catch people going southbound (downhill). When I questioned the officer in court and I stated that he was sitting at the mouth of Mendocino the Officer stated in court that he was sitting considerable south of Mendocino on St. College, and he used the "I don’t recall" excuse alot. I think he says he was sitting south of where he actually was because the Engineering and traffic survey is done at the Great Light Korean Church on 6/1/98 (I got the ticket in 2000, I just found this site and have seen officer sitting there recently). Hopefully they haven’t updated the survey, if you have gotten a ticket since 6/1/2003. My Ticket was for violation 22350, but the Magistrate is hard core. When I fought and lost, several others fought tickets and he found everyone guilty(with mine he stated in court that he was going to put down some info. that would make it impossible for me to appeal. The magistrate also patronized me by saying what a good job I did in my effort to fight the ticket. I tried to do this on my own (wasn’t aware of web sites that can help you prepare), I didn’t look up the charge or request any info. from the D.A., and now know that I was under prepared (I didn’t know about the survey’s or what the 22350 law was, and I didn’t get any info. about the laser). I hope this helps someone.
