School Zone
Red light cameras and a Very long school (20mph) zone that seems to be patrolled much of each day. There are flashing yellow lights for when children are present. In most school zones that means when coming from or going to school. These seem to run for much of the day. This is all fairly recent and it certainly appears as though they are suddenly trying to up their revenues!

I don't see how it's a trap when they put large alternately flashing yellow lights above and below a radar sign that tells you your speed and a speed limit sign telling you the speed limit. These lights are huge and bright to tell you when the school zone is enforced. This one is impossible to miss. It's not a trap, it's a huge warning to obey the law.
This is a trap. The one at Fife exit by the Chevron. Going south. It nailed me 3 times in 4 months for a rolling stop so it says. The speed limit is posted on the ticket when you open your mail. I will never spend my money in Fife again.
#1 - going 20 in a school zone is not a speed trap, it's obeying the law so MY children do not get run over by people who are speeding down the stretch of road.
#2 - The redlight camera that is at the Chevron is totally different than the area in front of the high school. Remember, redlight camera will nab you if you do not STOP for a full three second stop at the light BEFORE the line. If you don't know how long that is, do what i do. Stop before the line, Put your pinky and your thumb together holding the other three up clearly in the front windshield of your car. Then first put down your index finger, then your ring finger. Go when there is just one finger left standing. Haven't gotten a ticket yet on Red Light Cameras doing this measurable 3-second method.
