School Zones

Twin Falls, IdahoMar 27, 20061 Comments

Twin Falls police are very good at using discretion of issuing tickets and I have no problem with the way they are patroling our streets compared to smaller town departments and ISP. The only zones to really be conerned with are school zones in which the speed limit is usually 25 or less which is logical for the safety of children. Also in the warmer seasons watch out for those sneaky County Motorcycle Officers, they are the only ones I have seen purposely hiding out for speeders, but they are traffic cops so you can expect that. Hopefully the recent addition of new officers will use this same courtesy and judgment, way to go TFPD!

Comments:
When school is in session where I live and plus there is summer school going on until July 17, the speed limit is 20.. There is a cop car sitting in the parking lot usually.. But, what I get upset with is; other people are not paying attention and they whether follow you close behind your car. I live in the Northwest side of town and sometimes the officer will park in the high school parking lot just close to the road.... Sometimes I have seen them park on Sparks. st. just south of the high school....
