Seventh Street between San Jacinto Ave and State Street

San Jacinto, CaliforniaJun 11, 20102 Comments

You come upon a school zone where the limit is 25. Immediately after there is one small 30 mph speed sign within view of a 45 mph speed sign. The motor officer sits under a tree (blends in) and shoots cars coming towards him. He will stop you as you approach the 45 MPH sign at any speed under it, but over the 30 MPH. There is a stop light just 60 yards after the 45 MPH sign…..very confusing….I was clocked at 43 within 30 ft. of the 45 and given a ticket…..

Comments:
Good news... They took down the 45 MPH speed limit sign that seems to confuse people. 7th Street is a 30 MPH zone from Hewitt Street to State Street. There is a 25 MPH School Zone (when children are present) at the catholic school at the intersection with Santa Fe Ave.

Just a mention that the actual 30 mph zone, heading eastbound on 7th St. from State, begins NOT at State St., but at MAIN St., which is just past the railroad tracks and where the speed limit of 30 mph is posted. I was going 46 mph about 1/10 of a mile past the sign at ASH and the good officer happened to be hiding in wait with his radar gun attached to his motorcycle . . . what a crock.
