La Porte police can set up their Laser traps near here, maybe north of there. They like to get southbound traffic after they have left 225 on their way to Kemah. The speed limit is an under posted 60 mph, though they are probably looking for high fliers going 75 mph or better. I got nabbed in a LaPorte speed trap, so if it happened to me, it can happen to you. They usually set their traps up so that you can’t see them over the crest of a small hill. It’s too late before you are able to slam the brakes on.
