Two overly ambitious super cop wannabees work together in an area where it is open country and you feel you have left the jurisdiction of Huntington. They are interested only in hiding out and writing tickets. They ask you a few questions – the address on your license (is it current?) to make sure who you are and that you’re just passing through before they decide if you get a ticket.
Like others here, I used to stop for gas, food, even groceries sometimes at Brookshires there, but never again. Huntington is one of those small towns trying to boost local revenue from the pockets of people traveling through. The city will get my fine $$$ but the businesses there will not get any of my business again. Sorry Huntington Dairy Queen, I know you have been at that same location for years and years. Sorry Huntington Chevron gas but there are plenty of other stations. Brookshires – I’ll shop at your other locations – not Huntington.
