South Main Street near End of Casey Highway

Carbondale, PennsylvaniaNov 08, 20071 Comments

going up out of carbondale between cannen st and the connection to rt6 at the end of the casey highway. 4 lanes so it looks nice and clear but dont go over posted limits of 35 and 45 because they are backed into the woods.

Comments:
This is Carbondale Township through White's Corners IIRC, township police building sits on this road right before 3 way stop headed to Casey Highway. Two cop cars, both marked, one Impala, one Durango almost always sitting parked at the station. After you turn right from the stop sign, the road goes downhill to the left to meet with the connector. Make sure you stop completely at the 3 way stop, no California stops! Stop completely at the stop sign and make sure you use your blinkers too, they are sticklers about that. After you turn left, there is a dirt almost four wheeler path wide enough for a car to sit nestled into the trees. They sit there constantly, they also sit on the shoulder as well and in the gravel lot where construction equipment is parked on the right headed uphill. There is also a small house on the left, blue siding looks like a construction company with a yellow rail in front of its gravel lane. They sit there too backed up, blacked out at night to catch you speeding downhill towards Carbondale or uphill towards Casey Highway. They're pretty decent to deal with, I used to deliver in Forest City, Simpson, Fell Township etc and never had issues at all.
