Southfied and VanBorn
The police sit in the median of Southfield by the bridge for 94…just South of Van Born between Ecorse and Van Born and pull your into Rite Aids Parking lot. Most of the time, (because I was in court with 10 others before I left the courtroom) the police gives an IMPENDING TRAFFIC ticket instead of anything else…most likely to make their quota.

I know a person who works for Taylor police and he says if you want to make extra overtime money you have to write a certain amount of tickets to cover your pay and also a profit for the city or you don't get any overtime. Thats why Taylor has so many traps and writes so many tickets.
There was a recent article in the paper saying the City of Taylor was having trouble with pension costs. Part of the problem was that they pay the cops overtime to write tickets. This ends up boosting their pension and the city needs more money so round and round the mulberry bush we go.
They always write "impeding traffic" tickets and claim that they won't show up on your license. My ex got caught speeding and was written up for impeding! I made an illegal left on red at another watched spot. Same ticket, which costs more than the one you should have been written for.
I guess it makes the cops feel better that you won't get points on your license but I don't know how they live with themselves. They just lost two officers in the line of duty and it really makes it harder
to believe the "protect and serve" line when most of the time they are stealing our pay for insignificant offences to boost their pensions.
And don't think your insurance company doesn't spot those impeding traffic tickets with no points. They don't really care what the ticket is except that it is an excuse to raise your rates.
