Southwest Highway Road near Exit and Extrance to 123rd from Southwest Highway
In Palos Park Southwest Highway between 131st street and 119th Street is a total speed trap. If you are traveling on Southwest Highway between 131st and 119th, Do Not Speed.
Palos police love to stand along side the road near or under the bridge that leads to 123rd street. When you approach the bridge from either side, be sure to keep your eye out.
The bridge is actually an entrance and exit to 123rd street. 1 block before the bridge (from both sides) are residential side streets. The cops love to sit in the side streets, or under the bridge itself.
It is also not uncommon for two cops to sit 1 block apart, trying to catch speeders who speed up after they pass the first cop.
They are there at all hours of the day, but are very common between the rush hours, during the day time.
Be careful when driving down Southwest Highway in Palos Park.
