The Stanhope Police Officers park in the corner of the high school parking lot on the north side of the school or in the little league baseball field parking lot just south of the school. The officers patrol in the morning to catch high school students who are late for school and commuters heading to Routes 80 and 206. The officers also patrol the area at around 2:30 pm when school lets out. The primary focus is to stop students. The officers intimidate the drivers and have a history of harassing teen age drivers. The local municipal court is usually full of high school students during each session (what a money maker).
