As you come in to burlington from the south or north, SLOW DOWN. From the north the town marshall sits at the bottom of the hill Around the bridge and clocks folks as they come over the rise. From the south it is even worse, cause you come over a hill on a slight curve, and there he sits, not more that 50 yards away, lighting your arse up with his laser.

As a former resident I received a ticket in the mail for "permitting a violation". What happened was that I sold a vehicle to a neighbor, and he had a minor fender-bender in it (his fault). It cost me a $90 fine.
Several years ago I received a (deserved) citation for speeding. When I went to pay the fine, the Justice of the Peace said he couldn't believe that I got a ticket since I was a Burlington resident. They actually prey on non-residents!
