Starbird Road overpass on I-5 northbound
The Starbird Road overpass (I-5, Exit 218) is a favorite spot for the Washington State Patrol (and sometimes the Skagit County Sheriff) to set up and wait for motorists exceeding the 70 mph speed limit. Most stops are made northbound as it is downhill starting about a half mile before the overpass for about a mile.
