State Highway 11

Social Circle, GeorgiaMar 07, 20061 Comments

I was stopped and told that my tag light had burned out, but my tag light was working. Several residents of Social Circle have told me about being stopped for nothing. A lady on her way to work claimed to have been stopped for running a stop sign that she did not run. If you travel through this one horse town of about 3000, hold on to your wallets. The department is about one year old and some of the officers may not be radar certified.

Comments:
Slow down and stop for the traffic control devices. For every complaint about receiving a stop sign ticket there are complaints from area citizens about how someone failed to stop, yield, etc., and almost hit someone on the other side of the intersection. You can file a complaint with the PD and you can go to court to express your concerns instead of writing anonymous complaints through these types of websites. No one is expected to like to receive a citation, but that is sort of the point - maybe you will pay more attention next time.
