State Highway 11 & 37 near City Limit Signs

Winnsboro, TexasAug 16, 20071 Comments

On Hwy 37 North, police officer is usually hid just under a hill headed north. Speed limits drop 10 mph quickly. On Hwy 11 East, police officer patrol this all the time, it is assumed you are out of town, lengthy city limit.

Comments:
State Hwy 11 East of Winnsboro, Texas- a speedtrap. If you ar entering the town from the east, there is some type of big commercial plant that uses some unbelievably bright floodlights all around their property. Funny thing is that the sign that posts speed at 45 mph cannot be seen because of this blinding light. Just a few feet beyond that is a speed cop in the ditch with no headlights or flashers on. I have never been to this town in my life before this past weekend. Friends have been asking me for months to come up to a fundraising event in this town. My welcome was a big fat ticket. The judge says "You're either guilty or you're innocent, no other circumstances considered." I was in town to shoot a promotional video for the arts center ( at no charge) and wound up getting a $175 ticket. Look for a video under the heading Winnsboro Texas Speed Trap within the next few weeks.
