Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has received several grants and is now in the radar business. They sit on highway 126 in Blountville,the county seat, and run radar at all hours of the night. The speed limit is 30 which is ok during the day but the town rolls up the sidewalks at dusk which means no traffic. Then the trap comes out and makes money on a section near the Houser auto sales. Sometimes they run two cruisers at this site, one a 1/4 mile down the road for the stops. They will give your granny a ticket going to church on Sunday morning if she is not careful.
