State Highway 150 near Santa Ana Road
While driving e/b on route 150 there are only 2 passing areas. The second area [near Santa Ana Rd], is a straight road with good visibility. The CHP probably knows that this is a section where most will attempt passing. There are no posted speed limit signs so they issue tickets based on section 22349. This code states the limit is 55 max. on un-divided 2-lane highways. They have radar setup to catch drivers as they clear a right-hand curve into this open section. The unit is positioned out-of-view until the driver is fairly close. Even a momentary increase in speed will guarantee a citation.
