State Highway 160 near 5 Miles North of Fort Garland

Driving south on Hwy 160, down from La Veta Pass about 10 miles. You will come to a small hill with a passing lane (right lane for trucks and slower vehicles). At the top of the hill the lanes merge and the Patrol car is ussually off to the right on the shoulder area. They use the Extortion technique of ( If you pay by mail now the charge will be dropped to a lesser speed with only 2 pts ) Sounds like a good deal except! Fight it !

Comments:
The 2 points still go on your driving record and they get easy money. If you go to court it costs them and it gets thown out a lot of the time. Hard for most people--out of town and state residents. Only law enforcement allowed to break speed limits!
