State Highway 160/550 near State Highway 550
As 550/160 come together on the east outskirts of Durango, cars heading west will round a big bend. As the road straightens out going into Durango there is a well-hidden frontage road to the right where the police (State, County & Municipal set a trap). The speed limit is 50 mph through this corrider but it easy to exceed the speed limit b/c of the merge of traffic that is taking place between 160/550.

CSP likes to hide near the new overpasses going east on 160 in that area as well. They are there a LOT when the 'fines doubled in construction zones' signs are out. The limit is 50. Most people do 55 to 60. Over 55, they'll tag you.
