State Highway 169 near 86th, 96th and 106th Street

The traps along highway 169 at the cross streets of 86th, 96th and 106th are under the bridges. Officers sit under the bridge, usually on the north side. Also, if you are traveling after dark beware of the officers sitting in the low-lying center median between 96th and 106th. They are not visible until you are right on them and it’s too late. They have also been spotted in broad daylight clocking people; one officer sits on the east side of the northbound lane of 169 just north of the 96th street bridge. He faces south aiming his radar gun at unsuspecting travelers who won’t see him until the just top the crest on that section of highway heading north. They are usually posted up on the toolbox in the bed of a white Dodge pickup truck. They park at the base of the high voltage power line so they could easily be mistaken for a utility worker but look a little closer.
