Right when Howell township turns into Wall Township on 138/195 the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 and cops sit and wait for you to continue at 65

Not only a speed trap - The day my number came up - sunny - clear and well, it was a spring day and lots of folks were leaving Belmar Beach heading west on 138. I had just merged onto 138 from 18. I left a cop on 18 and found one on 138 (the kitty must've gotten low and they were sent out to clean out some pockets). I went over the speed limit - yes, it's true - the equivelent of high treason! Here's the BIG CRIME ladies and gentlemen - even if it is smarter, safer and all around a better decision to pull over to the left - DON"T ....drive - drive another 1/2 mile or so to pull over to the right. I was in the area where the GS pkway exits and enters as well as Rt 34 enters and exits 138.....pretty busy - beginning of the rush hour traffic. Now, imagine if you will, we have a mixed bag of drivers here in NJ - you've got those you will come to a complete stop - then turn and look and then maybe slowly pull out into traffic (that's how they merge) You know ....it might even be you. Then you have those who can't stand to waste a second and swerve around the aforementioned and almost leave accidents behind them. Then you got all the skill levels in between. I was not about to cross lanes of traffic (I was in the left) to mess with THAT and pull off to the right...... I, instead got myself 2 points for disobeying a traffic signal! Yup, that's what they call that single solid yellow line. And this is only after I was insulted - "have you been drinking? Are you taking medications? You are awfully jittery" Turns out that is STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE............. Everyone gets equally insulted - they respect no-one! they should just have a garage sale to raise money instead of shaking down innocent motorists! Help Govenor Christie! Do you really want your cops to behave this way? I thought they were to serve and protect? where does that fit in to what I just described? Yes, that was full of sarcasm - but really, can you blame me? I've compared notes and the cartoon bulldog police persona of the Wall Township cop is a joke and a bully - Frightening and Reckless driving should be addressed - but pulling over to the left - and some of these other "offenses"....really? Beware folks

but you admitted that you were speeding...and instead of a speeding tix you got pulling over to the left...seems to me that you got a good break...and its just weird to pull over to the left...and the cop should have waited until you guys passed the ramps to signal you to stop, that was a mistake on his part...I could definitley see your thinking for the left but the ticket he gave you beats a speeding ticket...and those quetions he asked arent standard...maybe he thought because you were speeding, a sign of an intoxicated driver, then the unusual pull over to the left, he saw fit to make sure you were not a threat to the other motorists...and as far as money in the township banks...the Police departments cost more then they could ever generate, and what money is generrated from tickets is nothing because it costs money for the courts...townships and states make no money on tickets...
