State Highway 2

Could not even see the police officer’s set up. Traveling West to East. Closest town is approximately 40 miles away. Speed limit goes from 60 mph. to 30 mph. There is a reduced sign that is only about 1 to 200 yds apart. Officer takes radar test at the 2nd 30 mph sign, and you know the rest of the story. $132!

Comments:
The sign used to be located much closer to the town. However, in 1988 my 7 year old neice was struck and killed on highway 2 right across the street from my brothers place of business. The older man that was hit her, was estimated at over 40 Mph in a 30 Mph zone. So, the town moved the sign much futher out of town and it is well marked. The above user should consider himself lucky that this only cost him $132. Sometimes small towns have a reason for the reduced speed...
