State Highway 20-E near right before junction with I-5

The words perfectly straight do not even begin to describe this road. It is perfectly straight, and just slightly declined, which makes it worse, with nothing but fields for miles on either side. It was late night, and there was no traffic on this road for 3 miles in front of me and 3 miles behind, not oncoming and not in my lane. 1/2 mile from the I-5 and I saw the whirling red and blue lights… he clocked me at 78 mph, but wrote me the ticket for 65. Nice of him, to be sure, but it begs the question of whether 55 mph is really a legitimate speed limit for a perfectly straight, slightly declined road when there are no cars for miles in front and miles behind. 20 E right before the junction with I-5… don’t get carried away even if you are all alone in the world with blue sky above and the horizon all around… there could be a cop in the cornfield just waiting.

Comments:
Be careful-- the police hide in the cornfields as it states. I got a ticket for eluding a policeman on HWY 20. $1000 The court did knock it down to $400 but had to show up at court date. I live in Oregon. I am a 60 year old women in a Honda Civic--Cop maybe 22. It was a misty stormy night did not see flashing lights fast enough! justice!

Same exact thing happened to me, but in the daytime. He was hiding behind another car in the Westbound lane coming toward me. 74 knocked down to 64, East of East Camp road on HWY 20. Sound familiar? I'm using ticketassassin dot com to fight it. I'll let you know how it goes...
