State Highway 20 near Dakota Avenue
when traveling west on hwy 20 from iowa into nebraska, troopers & deputies like to sit under the first overpass clocking drivers coming down the grade. watch your step the first few miles into nebraska from iowa.

In 2010, it seems as though they've stopped camping out under the first overpass and have moved about a quarter-mile west. I drive that route daily and have noticed them in the median just before the exit to Dakota Avenue. It's a little sneaky, because the bridge can kind of hide them from you.
Or, sometimes the trooper will be in the median between the Dakota Avenue and Highway 77 exits.
If you're passing through & wondering why people drive so freaking slow on Highway 20 near South Sioux City, this is why.
