State Highway 220

Hico, TexasSep 02, 20091 Comments

At 7:10 AM you will come over a hill going south on Hwy 220 and suddenly you are suppose to go from 70 MPH to 35 MPH for a school zone. Hope you have good brakes.

Comments:
What kind of city allows school zone safety to be trumped by revenue with a "set up" like this? Don't recall so much as a city limit sign which says you have enter Hico jurisdiction. Pride may not matter here, but then who would take pride that you can be zapped w/o notice given the absence of signs and also safety concern overtaken by revenue interest. Note other histories and comments re the different routes into Hico.
