State Highway 231
If you are heading from Murfreesboro to Shelbyville on Hwy 231, right before you enter Deason you have to go up a hill, well at the TOP of the hill the speed limit drops from 65 to 55. The cops normally sit at the bottom of the other side of the hill. If you are still doing 65 when you get to the top of the hill, it’s too late!

This is NOT a speed trap. I go thru here on a regular basis and have never seen anybody caught. Never even seen a Patrol Car checking speed. However, it might be a good idea if they did check once in a while. People routinely ignore the speed limit between Murfreesboro and Shelbyville - especially as Hwy 231 is entering Shelbyville and the speed limit drops to 30 mph.
No, this is a speed trap. Cop also sits at church on left just before Midland Diner. This IS, in fact, a speed trap. See Deason.
