State Highway 24 Between Cape Carteret and Bogue

Cape Carteret, North CarolinaFeb 01, 20012 Comments

Between Cape Carteret and Bogue ther is a school zone there that is marked 35 all the time and you will see the speed limit sign change from 55 down to 35 without warning. This is a four lane road that has just been built there and they need to give more warning. Be careful.

Comments:
For your info, the speed does not go from 55mph to 35mph with no warning. You have a reduced speed ahead sign, 7 45mph signs, another reduced speed ahead, and then finnally the 35 mph sign. Just pay attention to your driving and your posted signs and your speedometer and you wont get tickets....

Just to correct the above comment, the speed gos from 55mph, too 45 mph, too 35 in front of the school, signs are clearly visable, and there are also signs telling you to reduce speed ahead, the problem here is poor driving habits, people are not paying attention, and some just ignore the warnings, and some are too busy texting ect, ect. HWY Patrol is only doing there job, and they dont miss much in this area..the key word is school zone, so please pay attention, slow down, our childrens lives depend on it. If you miss these warning signs comming into cape carteret, you deserve the ticket....
