State Highway 24 near 28 Bypass
State Troopers and County Deputies contiually patrolling. The posted Speed limit is 45. If you are doing over that they Will pull you over.

I don't get why the speed limit has not increased on hwy 24.The highway was widened several years ago because of traffic congestion.It defeats the purpose to widen a highway and leave the speed limit the same.Only in Anderson would such a stupid thing be done.Even though it's a state hwy the speed limit should have increased to 55mph.
I travel hwy 24 every day. It would be nice to drive 55, but a state trooper informed me that any road with sidewalks couldn't be posted over 45. Was this a true statment? I would like to think so1
