State Highway 291 near Courtney Road
Watch out. They sit by the Landfill enforcing a 1-2 mile strip of the Highway. The highway is 4 lanes with minimal access in a rual area with a few factories nearby.

There are cameras at this (and others) intersection - so don't be surprised if 2-3 weeks after you've been in this unfriendly city, you get a ticket in the mail from Sugar Creek.
Sugar Creek has a portable speed camera on a trailer; the camera lives on top of a tall telescoping pole. They like to set it up in the median of Missouri 291, just south of the Missouri River bridge, in a paved (but barricated) crossover, about a mile north of the intersection with Courtney Road. I'm not sure which way it is usually looking.
Sometimes there will be an officer hiding around Cement City Road - the road to the water treatment plant on the west side of 291, just south of the river. He can be there whether the camera is set up or not. I usually see him harassing motorists going South on 291 (coming downhill off the Missouri River bridge), but from there he could also harass motorists going North on 291 (coming downhill over the bluffs and railroad tracks).
