State Highway 3, Forest Mountain Pass west of Yreka
There are more cops per mile on Highway 3 between Yreka and Fort Jones than just about anywhere in California, it seems. They look for speeders westbound downhill from Forest Mountain Pass. A lot of pretext stops during the summer season, as well. CHP, Siskiyou county sheriffs.

The speed limit on Hwy 3 going over Forest Mountain is 55 mph. The speed limit once you hit the bottom of Forest Mountain is still 55 mph. How hard is it to drive the speed limit? This is not a speed trap and you exagerate the amount of law enforcement patroling that area.
