State Highway 30 near Interstate 10

Connecting road between westbound Interstate 10 and northbound CA route 30. Motorcycle cop or occasional cruiser will hide on the blind side of the curve behind some of the roadside shrubbery. The real catch is that the speed limit on that section of the 10 is 70mph, and the connecting road is unmarked, but the cop will write it as a 55mph limit. So just by turning onto the connector, you’re 15mph over. I got written for 68mph in a 55, when the limit on the CA30 is 65, so I was technically 3 over for the CA30, and 2 under for the I10. I’ve seen this trap in operation dozens of times.
