Much of this stretch has been taken down to 35mph. Yes, 35! We are talking a low traffic, divided highway with 2 lanes each direction. I travel from Maalaea to Waiko Rd daily. Haven't seen a cop around for quite a while and tend to just fly through there. If it's a speed trap, they're never there early morning or evening.
