State Highway 416 near Exit Number 40

Kemptville, OntarioFeb 19, 20042 Comments

Highway 416 connecting Ontario HWY 401 to Ottawa is one of the heaviest patrolled highway. There is an OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) center on that highway and on daily basis (Morning, Afternoons and late evenings) unmarked police officers hide after hills, bridges. The highway stretch is about 70km but the whole 50km from Ottawa down south is patrolled heavily.

Comments:
When traveling along the 416 highway North or South, maintain a speed of 120 kms/hr or less and the OPP will never bother you. This usually holds true for all four series highways.

They are famous for sitting on the 416, between the 401 and Spencerville exit. They sit tucked behind the trees on the median strip.
