DO NO SPEED ANYWHERE NEAR STAR, IDAHO!

Idaho law allows cities to collect 90% of the ticket fine FOR THEIR OWN REVENEUE! Star, Idaho is just one of several cites that has lowered its speed limit to a ridiculious 25 MPH, while at the same time hiring addintional officers to combat "speed problems" in the town. They commonly hide out behind Star Automotive coming in from Highway 16, or hide out in the bushses near the Moxie Java coming from Middleton. They will be aggresive, routinly there are 2-3 people pulled over in the town. Be carfull as well, as they are planning to extend the 25 MPH zone 10 miles outside of the city limits in either direction, it may look like corn feilds, but its a speed trap for the revenue of the Star City Council.

Comments:
This person is absolutely right. Also, why does the speed go from 55 down to 35. What happened to 45? They didn't bother posting visible signs that the speed dropped in a 20mph increment. I was pulled over RIGHT under the 55 mph sign. I was going 42 mph prior. I went 25 through town, then 35, then approaching 45. I thought I was perfectly legal. NOPE, the officer said "There is a day care that needs people to slow down". Ok, I understand that, but where is the sign that tells daily drivers there is a change??? Also, I am usually being tail gated where ever I drive. I don't speed, so this time really upset me. I was told that "I will be watching for you to speed through this town from now on". I don't even go through Star anymore! It's just too nerve wracking.
