The officers will wait around bends in the road and catch anyone they can.

I live in Hickman County, TN, which is near Dickson, TN. It seems that long time residents of Hickman, Co. are given a post-hipnotic suggestion when they receive drivers training that says, "Whenever you are in Hickman Co. or within a 2-3 miles of the Hickman Co. Line, if the posted speed limit is 55 mph, you must travel at least 5-10 mph slower than that speed limit." I wish there were reverse speed traps for people going too slow! People travel north on Highway 46 toward Dickson at the lightning speed of 45-52 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. But, as soon as they get to where the posted speed limit slows to 45 mph, they continue up through Dickson at 50-55 mph of more! Those travelling south on Hwy. 46 either poke along the whole way down or if they do speed up to 55 mph at the increase, they gradually slow down by or before they get to the Co. Line! On other main Hickman Co. Highways, like Hwy. 100 & 7, there are few places to pass, but many drivers poke along and especially slow down even more near schools and stores regardless of whether there is little or no traffic or even though school zone speed limit lights aren't flashing! Maddening! If I only had a button!! The entire length of Hwy. 46 from the Hickman/Dickson Co. Line, to the Sonic Restaurant just before the I-40 interchange has a left turn lane, so, you can't LEGALLY pass these slow-pokes anywhere along that stretch!! I wish someone could persuade the City of Dickson to make some pass-points along that stretch, put a 50 mph minimum speed limit along there, or ticket slow drivers there and crack down on those speeding in the 45 mph zone through the southern part of the City of Dickson!!

Worse is that at one time, this road had a *lot* of overtaking places but they went away when they put the turning lane in. There are maybe two or three places along that whole length of road where a turning lane is even relevant, yet alone useful. What were they thinking?
