State Highway 50 near US Highway 12

Lake Geneva, WisconsinMar 27, 20061 Comments

Coming into town the speed limit drops from 55 mph to 40 mph to 25 mph for people going westbound which is how most Chicago area people come. eastbound out of town there is a hill that is steep were the limit goes from 25 mph to 40 mph. It is difficult to get up this hill at 25 mph. I was stopped going about 31 or 32 mph , the officer said I was going 38 mph. When the officer perceived I was going to fight the ticket he let me off with a warning. This is a notorious money maker for Lake Geneva, which is a tourist town.

Comments:
The point is YOU admitted that you were travelling 31 or 32 mph. in a 25 mph zone - so you WERE breaking the law and should have received a ticket. How is that a trap?
