Traveling NB 57, upon entering Los Angeles County, you are greeted by signage indicating a construction and double fine zones are in effect. However, there is NO sign of ANY construction work on the freeway. In fact, it is not until you get to Pathfinder Rd where the speed limit drops to 55 and there are temporary barriers along the shoulders. Yet the CHP has heavily saturated this stretch of roadway through the Brea Canyon nailing motorist after motorist for speeding through a construction zone. It’s a nasty trap to extort twice the money out of drivers in an effort to get them to "slow for the (non-existent) cone zone."
