State Highway 6 near Oyster Creek Park, 4033 State Highway 6 South

There is a median that begins across from the park entrance if you are heading north (or ends if heading south) that the SLPD like to sit at. I’ve seen them there pretty much anytime during the day, but they especially like to sit there at night. Occasionally at night they’ll sit there without any lights on.

Comments:
Do you think they'd sit there if there wasn't people speeding or because of prior wrecks? Their job is to keep you and me safe from the idiots that think the speed limit is for everyone but them. If they weren't sitting there slowing people down, and some idiot came along and hit you or your family, you'd be crying on some other website wanting to know why the police weren't there writing tickets. Just be grateful they are there. The next time you see a cop in a store or somewhere else, try telling him/her "thank you" for your service. There may come a day you'll be glad you did.
