State Highway 62 near Tracy Avenue

Edina, MinnesotaJun 30, 20042 Comments

The trickiest speed trap ever, they will have someone hiding in between the signs on the tracy ave bridge, while on the onramp i have witnessed a hopkins, state troop, and a couple edina squads just waiting, this trap is not too common but i mean they get everyone, this is going eastbound, watch yourself

Comments:
For clarification the radar cop is on the Gleason Ave bridge and the patrol cars are lined up on the Eastbound on ramp at Gleason. I have seen as many as 4 squads on the ramp catching the people heading east bound (coming from Eden Prairie to Edina) on 62. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. Be careful.

This is a transition zone from 4 or 5 lanes from 2 highways to 2 lanes of State Highway 62 going east bound from Eden Priarie into Edina. locals seem to want to get in that one last burst of speed before the lanes go away. Edina police got two Minnesota Vikings players going over 100 mph here within a week of each other, both going from home to the team hotel the night before a home game. Look for the cop with the laser gun between the two highway signs on the Gleason ave overpass. If you see him it's too late, there are usually lots of squads from various services (Edina, State, County) waiting on the Tracy Ave on-ramp to pull you over.
