State Highway 66 near Going over Lake Ray Hubbard
Traveling west Bound on Highway 66 in Rowlett, Texas there is no Speed limit sign at the entrance to the Bridge or anywhere on the bridge going over Lake Ray Hubbard.(3000 ft or more distance) There are side roads joining Highway 66 west of Cheasa Rd, which do not allow the drivers to know the speed limits before entering the bridge which carries three lanes of traffic in each direction. The speed limit sign is back up the highway near the intersection, of Cheasa and 66. But the traffic is usually very heavy and it is easy to miss that sign. Police sit behind the trees at the top of the hill just beyound the long bridge and shoot down from thier perch while the busy road fills with heavy traffic. It is easy to go with the flow. They are using lidar or Lasar guns to chech speeds. There needs to be more signs giving notice of the speed in that area which is set at 50, still most people are driving much faster on this road. So watch the speed.
