State Highway 67 near Kishwauketo path

Williams Bay, WisconsinMay 29, 20042 Comments

Highway 67 winds down into down town Williams Bay at a speed of 55 MPH once you are on level gorund, the strett suddenly changes to 25 mph according to a speed limit sign sticking out of a ditch. about 55 yards away is the "Williams Bay Boat Launch" which is nesseled away by about 25 foot tall trees. In the pathway to the boat launch sit an unmarked Williams Bay squad car which at this point has caught you going 55 MPH past the 25 MPH sign and is stiiting there waiting to pull behind you and stop you

Comments:
You've got your streets and locations all messed up, Highway 67 runs south from Highway 50 and the speed limit is 55 mph. as you get to the bottom of the hill and pass the Village sign the speed drops to 35 mph by the Kishwaukeetoe Trail. If you come into town on Geneva Street off Hwy 50 from the east the speed limit is 35 mph and drops to 25 right before Cedar Point Road. Yes the cops like to sit at the bottom of the hill to the left and to the right, They also sit on the road along the beach house. If you do the posted speed limit you won't have a problem. I've lived in the Bay for over 30 years and have yet to get stopped for speeding.

Additionally, since when is it ever ok to go 55 past a village sign and 25 mph signs?
