Both north and southbound. Officer blends his car with vehicles on southbound side, parked to hike the mountain.
Also at very large dirt turn out on the curve less then 1 mile south of there

There are speed signs in place. If you have a radar detector, make sure you watch KA band. CHP uses KA radar here and you will be alerted in advance, especially if you have a Valentine 1. Don't be confused with the K band alert set off by the speed signs. It's a hot trap!
