i haven’t seen too many people getting ticketed through here but most of the traffic is local, however placement of speed limit signs is dictated by the state dot where a certain amount of distance needs to be actually between signs I may be incorrect but I do believe it is a minimum of 1/10 of a mile between markers. However when you enter town from the south on state highway 81 the speed drops from 55 to 45 to 35 and the distance between 55-35 is LESS than 1/10 of a mile. you have to really be paying attention otherwise you will hit that last one doing 20 miles over the limit.
