This stretch of road makes a radar detector pay for itself. It's designated a "safety corredor" meaning that any traffic fines DOUBLE along this stretch, so there will very often be multiple speed traps set up on this steep mountain road. It's very rural, but don't let that fool you. Cops are there looking for you to go even 5 mph over the limit for a big fat fine.
