State Highway 85 between Fort Walton Beach and Niceville Fl. Valparaiso is located on the east side of Egling AFB .
On State Road 85 between Niceville Fl and the Okaloosa county regional airport. This 1.7 mile stretch of road is patrolled heavily by the Valparaiso Police Department, Okaloosa County Sherif, and the Florida Highway Patrol. primary enforcement is conducted by the Valpararaiso Police Department. Speed limits goin north form the airport are 55, 45, and then drops to 35. County deputies and FHP have no tolerance. The Valparaiso Officers spend 1 to 2 hours pershift on this stretch of road. Although they allow 10 to 15 mph over in th 55 and 45 zones they have zero tolerance in the 35 because of the residential area. Although polite and respectful, if you are stopped, you have 99 percent chance of getting a ticket.
