State Highway 85 near State Highway 18

Coming south into town on the northside, local enforcement officer sitting in the Dollar General Store claimed a 57 in a 35 as I was coming to a stop ! Impossible. Then he claimed he "would do me a favor" and reduce it to 49 in a 35 so it wouldn’t show on my record. I believe that was a clear revenue raising effort and his reduction was to make me so thankful that I wouldn’t go to court. Cost was 112.00.

yea the same thing happened to me to on whitehouse pkwy ga alt 85 there were two police sittin under a tree near the dot barn i believe the locals call it the crows nest or something like that . the speed limit is 55 coming from crown tech off of ga 85 if your not paying attention you wont see the 45mph sign . there for when your goin 64 n get pulled over u think 64 in a 55 and you have a sure win case with only 9 over but no in actuality its a 64 in a 45 the copper with the chips glasses came up and said sir can you read i was appalled then after a 10 minute lecture about atlanta and deer or something he agreed to lower my speed to a 59 in a 45 clearly a revenue generating process

mm dunno if its a speed trap but withthe hill n all speed drops very rapidly on hwy 85 coming into town from atl. police like to sit just above autoparts store running stationary radar. officer was nice tho and agrred to lower my speed so i wouldnt get any points on my license. do not feel its a revenue generating process but does float very close to the 500 ft rule. i have also witnessed the officer sitting on ga alt 85 near the dot barn... seem like everytime i come thru town there is an officer there.
